THE PREDICTION

A disappointing collapse in the final 15 minutes against Leeds saw Newcastle fall to a 5-2 defeat at Ellan Road in their last outing whilst Fulham drew 0-0 with fellow relegation battlers, Brighton. It has most certainly been a season of ups and downs for Newcastle, but overall, Steve Bruce’s men have put in a series of convincing performances which should instil them with enough confidence of being able to get a result against Fulham this weekend. After a slow start, Fulham have started to pick up points as of late, with five points amassed from their previous five games. Their last two games against Liverpool and Brighton have both ended in draws, and in this encounter with Newcastle, there is a possibility the same outcome could occur. In what will undoubtedly be a close game, there is little to choose between the two but Newcastle as marginally favoured.
