THE TEAM NEWS
MAN CITY
- Man City return to action looking to cement second place in the league although their priority could well turn to the Champions League when that eventually resumes but for now they face off against Guardiola’s former assistant Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
- For the first time in a long time, Guardiola has a fully-fit squad at his disposal which includes Leroy Sane who has recovered from a serious knee injury and the German will likely be on the bench for this game.
- Guardiola has a wealth of options at his disposal ahead of this game and with two matches in close succession, there will likely be plenty of rotations between this game and Monday night’s clash with Burnley but expect all his key men to feature here.
Predicted line-up (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling

ARSENAL
- Arsenal will look to continue their revival under Mikel Arteta as, barring their shock elimination in the Europa League at the hands of Olympiacos, their form since he took over has largely been excellent.
- Arteta seemed fixed upon a 4-2-3-1 formation and Nketiah had earned himself a starting spot in the side so he could retain his place with skipper Aubameyang coming in off the left wing.
- Sokratis was seemingly Arteta’s first choice at right-back prior to the break but it may be that the more mobile Bellerin comes into the starting line-up for this game while there is also a chance Tierney plays left-back with Saka further forward.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Leno; Bellerin, David Luiz, Pablo Mari, Saka; Xhaka, Dani Ceballos; Pepe, Ozil, Aubameyang; Nketiah
Unavailable: Chambers (Injured)
Doubtful: Cedric (Injured)

THE PREDICTION
The much-awaited return of the Premier League is finally here with a mouthwatering clash between Man City and Arsenal. This promises to be a hugely attractive game to watch with the style of both teams easy on the eye. Mikel Arteta will be motivated to get one over on his old boss Pep Guardiola but that will not be an easy task. City are notoriously fast starters to the league season and the break and chance to refresh will likely serve them well. They will look to make a fast start to this game and they should be able to unlock this Arsenal defence in the first half and consolidate their lead in the second so the Double Result market is one to consider.
