West Brom’s lack of cutting edge going forward came back to bite them once again last Monday as they fell to a 1-0 defeat away at bottom-placed Derby, this coming after their failure to score against 23rd-placed Barnsley at Oakwell. This is a huge concern for the Baggies, who will be hoping that home advantage helps them get back to winning ways against Cardiff. The Bluebirds are likely to be fatigued both physically and mentally as they embark on their second long away trip in the space of four days, the first seeing them reduced to ten-men and beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth. With that in mind, back West Brom to overcome the visitors, although a high scoring contest is not expected and backing under 2.5 goals is also worth considering.
