THE PREDICTION

Barnsley march on in their relentless promotion push, beating bottom-placed Wycombe 1-3 last time out and extending their incredible run to nine wins from their last ten Championship games with 28 points accumulated from the last 30 available to them. The fifth-placed Tykes can’t afford to take their foot off the gas though if they wish to close the gap on the top two, having already created a cushion of five points between themselves and seventh-placed Bournemouth. A Yorkshire derby awaits here with Sheffield Wednesday making the short journey to Oakwell. Darren Moore is still awaiting his first victory as Owls manager, but did manage to secure his first point in midweek with a 1-1 draw vs Huddersfield. This game should a step too far for his side however, with the relentless energy and speedy attacking transitions of a Barnsley outfit brimming with confidence expected to win the day and secure yet another three points for the hosts.
