BRAZIL PREVIEW: STUMBLING SELECAO

Coming into the tournament, Brazil had managed just four victories in 16 matches and had even started CONMEBOL qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and then the Selecao started their Copa America campaign with a goalless draw against Costa Rica.

In their second game of the tournament, though, the Brazilians did put on a bit of a show as they dispatched of Paraguay by four goals to one. Three late first-half goals with a brace by Vinicius Junior and a strike from Savio put the game to bed before half-time.

COLOMBIA PREVIEW: CURRENT WORLD BEATERS

Colombia, on the other hand, are currently enjoying a remarkable unbeaten run of form that has perhaps gone under the radar given they failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, Nestor Lorenzo’s side are now without a defeat in their last 25 matches.

The Colombians began their group stage campaign of this tournament with an impressive performance but a frustrating scoreline as they only defeated Paraguay by two goals to one but then they turned on the style with a 3-0 hammering of Costa Rica.

BRAZIL VS COLOMBIA PREDICTION

There haven’t been many absolute thrillers at this year’s Copa America but the chaos and lack of cohesion that Brazil provide may well give is a fun encounter for the neutral in this one. The Brazilians didn’t quite show that chaotic energy against Costa Rica and there are major issues throughout their side, whilst Colombia are simply becoming one of the absolute in-form teams in the whole of international football. The value bet is to side with the Colombians for this one.
