Bolivia are, statistically and widely perceived subjectively, as the weakest team in South America and that has been shown in this tournament, whilst the Panamanians have an excellent opportunity to head through to the quarter-finals.

BOLIVIA PREVIEW: SAVING FACE

As mentioned, Bolivia came into the tournament as arguably the weakest team in CONMEBOL but there was still a lack of awareness as to how that would transpose onto teams in North America and the answer has been not very well.

They began their campaign with a 2-0 loss to the hosts United States with both goals coming before half-time via Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun before they then came up against a rampant Uruguayan side that hammered them by five goals to nil.

PANAMA PREVIEW: POTENTIAL HISTORY TO BE MADE

It cannot be understated and underplayed how remarkable it would be for Panama to reach the quarter-finals of the Copa America and they have a glorious opportunity to do so after a famous result last week.

Their tournament began with a 3-1 defeat to potential winners Uruguay but then they rallied and pulled off an upset to defeat the USA by two goals to one with a come from behind victory in which Jose Fajardo scored an 83rd minute winner for the Panamanians.

BOLIVIA TEAM NEWS: POTENTIAL CHANGES

Having already been eliminated, or at least more or less eliminated, Bolivia will consider making changes and giving other players in their squad a run out for this one but there will also want to be a bit of pride restored after their hammering.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-3): Viscarra; Je. Sagredo; Haquin, Cuellar; Fernandez, Villamil, Cespedes, Rocha; Vaca, Algaranaz, Terceros

BOLIVIA VS PANAMA PREDICTION

Bolivia have proven themselves to be the weakest team in both South America generally and now, even with the inclusion if six teams from CONCACAF, at this tournament as a whole, too. The Bolivians will look to restore some national pride but Panama have a chance to reach the last eight and, after their resolute performance against the US, must surely be favoured to get themselves over the line and into the knockouts.

BOLIVIA VS PANAMA TIP: PANAMA TO WIN & UNDER 3.5 GOALS
