THE PREDICTION
Despite peppering their opponent’s goal with shots, Mexico could only draw 0-0 with Trinidad and Tobago in their first Group A fixture, making this next match against Guatemala an absolutely crucial one from their point of view. After losing to El Salvador in their opening encounter, Guatemala already have a mountain to climb in terms of knockout qualification, but can take heart from the fact that Trinidad and Tobago have already proven that Mexico can be stopped. However, Gerardo Martino’s side are a very strong outfit who will be desperate to bounce back and whilst the absence of Raul Jimenez was no doubt a factor in their struggles infront of goal, they should have more than enough firepower to ease past Guatemala and should be favoured to win this one by at least two clear goals.
