THE PREDICTION

Ludogorets will come into this Bulgarian Super Cup clash with CSKA Sofia full of confidence after overcoming Shakhtyor in their recent Champions League qualifying contest. Despite ending last year’s First League with a poor run of form, they already had the title sewn up and it is unlikely to deter them here. CSKA Sofia ended the campaign in inconsistent fashion with two losses as well as two defeats in their final four games in all competitions but the Cup win over Arda did not hide what was ultimately a disappointing season and they look set to start this one with another loss.
