BRIGHTON PREVIEW: WEEKEND FRUSTRATION
Brighton come into this off the back of a frustrating 2-2 draw with Premier League strugglers Wolves in a match that they led by two goals heading into the final few minutes of the game. However, late strikes from Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha at the AMEX left Fabian Hurzeler frustrated with the two dropped points.
The Seagulls beat those same opponents in the last round of the Carabao Cup to progress to this stage, with Carlos Baleba, Simon Adingra and Ferdi Kadioglu on target on that occasion.
LIVERPOOL PREVIEW: SLOT EYES FIRST SILVERWARE
Liverpool's winning run in all competitions was halted at eight games on Sunday as they shared a point with title rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Bukayo Saka's fine early goal was cancelled out by Virgil van Dijk before Mikel Merino restored the Gunners' advantage just before the break. The Reds looked to be heading for their second defeat of the season, but a fine breakaway goal from Mo Salah ensured a share of the spoils.
Arne Slot's men accounted for Premier League opposition in the third round of the Carabao Cup, doubles from Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo sandwiching a Salah goal in a commanding 5-1 win over West Ham.
BRIGHTON TEAM NEWS: STEELE STARTS BUT DUNK ABSENT

Conor Bradley has a chance of making the squad but summer signing Federico Chiesa is almost certainly out. Elsewhere, the likes of Jarell Quansah and Kostas Tsimikas are likely to be given starts as Slot freshens up his side amidst a punishing schedule.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Jaros; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Jones, Endo; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Nunez

BRIGHTON VS LIVERPOOL PREDICTION
Matches between these two sides tend to be fairly entertaining. Indeed, their last five meetings across all competitions have each featured at least three goals, while both teams have found the net in four of those.
With one or two fringe players looking to make an impression with their respective managers watching on, this tie could be no different, With that in mind, over 2.5 goals looks like a sensible play in the betting markets.
BRIGHTON VS LIVERPOOL TIP: OVER 2.5 GOALS
