THE PREDICTION
Antwerp closed the gap with leaders Union Saint-Gilloise to seven points with a 0-1 victory away at RFC Seraing last Friday. That gap is likely to be reopened by the time they face Mechelen on Sunday but they can keep Club Brugge at arm’s length with a win here and they look good for it after losing just one of their last nine Belgian Pro League games – to USG two weeks ago. Travelling Mechelen snapped a three-match winning streak in a poor 4-1 defeat away at Genk on Wednesday and that does not bode well for their chances here. The visitors’ last four league games have seen at least three goals scored so taking Antwerp to win and over 2.5 goals looks a decent combination here.
