ANTWERP VS STANDARD LIEGE PREDICTION
After a run of four successive Jupiler Pro victories, Antwerp were beaten by Anderlecht last weekend. Ivan Leko’s side could not bounce back in midweek, as they fell to second successive defeat by a single goal, this time away at Austrian side LASK in the UEFA Europa League. Antwerp’s European exploits may just be starting to take their toll on Leko’s players from a physical perspective. Standard Liege have coped better with the European schedule, although they have lost all three of their Europa League group stage games. The match therefore, could prove a cagey one with just a point separating the two sides in the Jupiler Pro. The result itself looks tricky to call, although with fatigue potentially a factor for both sides we’re not expecting a free-flowing attacking contest and under 2.5 goals should be considered.
