Bruce Arena’s New England Revolution were relentless and rampant during the regular MLS season. They cruised to a top-of-the-table position in the Eastern Conference and finished there quite a few points clear of any challenger. New York City, coached by former Celtic boss Ronny Deila, had their own spells of imperious form but mixed that in with some irritating inconsistency. NYC have an attacking potency and threat and will look to get at the Revs early on in the game but New England should still be favoured in what should be an entertaining match.
