New England Revolution may be a surprise inclusion in the Eastern Conference final but they have done things the hard way by coming through a play-in round and then recording excellent away wins over Philadelphia Union and Orlando City, so they are fully deserving of their spot. The next hurdle sees them face Columbus Crew, who have shown plenty of resolve themselves and overcame a stubborn Nashville side in last week’s semi-final. The Crew have won the last three meetings between the two teams and home advantage may just see them edge this one. They have a phenomenal record at MAPFRE Stadium having lost just once in their last 17 games there and that advantage is likely to be the deciding factor here. The visitors will give a good account of themselves and this should be very competitive, but the hosts are marginally favoured.
