ZIMBABWE PREVIEW: ZIMBABWEANS HELD

Under the management of former Israel U21 and Kosovo U21 coach Michael Nees, the Zimbabwean national football team are currently ranked 129th in the world and face an extremely tough test to qualify for the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations.

The Warriors began their group stage qualifying campaign on the back of a fairly dull goalless draw against Kenya the other day with the match played at the neutral venue of Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.

CAMEROON PREVIEW: THE STRONG NEW LOOK CAMEROON

Cameroon endured a difficult 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year as they got knocked out in the Round of 16. Since then, though, they have appointed former Oud-Heverlee Leuven coach Marc Brys and they have been much-improved.

With a well balanced squad with plenty of talent all across the pitch, the Cameroonians began their qualifying campaign with a slender 1-0 defeat of Namibia at the Japoma Stadium in Douala with Vincent Aboubakar scoring a 65th minute winner.

ZIMBABWE TEAM NEWS: FULLY FIT ZIMBABWE

With no injury concerns or suspension issues for the Zimbabweans this week, they are expected to name an unchanged eleven for this second game.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Arubi; Murwira, Garananga, Takwara; Musona, Munetsi, Rinomhota, Billiat, Zemura; Chirewa, Dube

ZIMBABWE VS CAMEROON PREDICTION

Zimbabwe do not, unfortunately, have the benefit of home advantage for this one with the game being played in Uganda. With a few notable names in their squad, though, they will still be confident of being difficult to break down. That said, Cameroon have an abundance of talent and just the right balance with Marc Brys’ 4-1-4-1 option. Despite improvement from the Zimbabweans, the Cameroonians are still favourites for this one.
