It has been a really difficult few years for the Ivory Coast. Their failure to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup was backed up with failure to qualify in 2022 before they were beaten in just the Round of 16 in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations. The Elephants do have an enterprising, young squad coming through but they remain poor in their performances and results.
