THE PREDICTION
Nigeria have had a bit of a tumultuous build-up to this tournament with Victor Osimhen, Shehu Abdullahi and Leon Balogun all being forced to withdraw due to injury, Emmanuel Dennis being forced to withdraw due to a missed deadline for his call-up from Watford and underperforming manager Gerhard Rohr being replaced just a month ago by co-interim managers Jose Pesteiro and Augustine Eguavoen. Despite a plethora of attacking options that remain, Nigeria are likely to be lacking in cohesion and slightly disjointed ahead of the tournament. They come up against an Egyptian side who have had a stereotyped identity of conservative football enhanced by their current manager Carlos Queiroz. Both sides will be looking to challenge for the trophy and the two sides are evenly matched in what looks set to be a low-scoring encounter.
