THE TEAM NEWS

EQUATORIAL GUINEA

Equatorial Guinea will be keen to name an unchanged eleven for this final group game after their impressive 4-2 defeat of Guinea-Bissau the other day. There are slight concerns over the fitness of right-back Carlos Akapo, though, so that could be the one change.

PREDICTED XI (4-1-4-1): Owono; Akapo, Orozco, Coco, Ndong; Garnet; Salvador, Bikoro, Machin, Miranda; Nsue

UNAVAILABLE:

QUESTIONABLE: Akapo (Injured)

IVORY COAST

It is expected that Sebastian Haller will remain unavailable for this final group game with the hope being that the former West Ham striker will be fit for the knockout stages. Serge Aurier returned to the starting line-up but was substituted in the second-half in their defeat to Nigeria.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Fofana; Aurier, Diomande, Ndicka, Konan; Fofana, Sangare, Kessie; Kouame, Krasso, Boga

UNAVAILABLE: Haller (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Konan (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

As mentioned, Equatorial Guinea enjoyed a magnificent victory on Thursday as Emilio Nsue scored a hat-trick to inspire them to a 4-2 victory over Guinea-Bissau. Whenever they have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations, they have reached the quarter-finals at least. They now face an Ivory Coast side that require a point to move into the Round of 16 as the hosts were beaten 1-0 by Nigeria the other day due to a controversial William Troost-Ekong penalty. Both teams will be content with a draw but backing a double chance bet in favour of the Ivorians seems sensible with their home advantage.

TIP: DOUBLE CHANCE – IVORY COAST TO WIN OR DRAW
