THE PREDICTION
This quarter-final features two of the heavyweights of Asian football on Saturday. Iran will be without their key man, Mehdi Taremi, who was sent off in their Round of 16 tie against Syria, which they eventually won on penalties. They face a Japanese side that have an abundance of talent but Hajime Moriyasu has not yet had his side clicking with overwhelming fluency or efficiency just yet. They comfortably defeated Bahrain by three goals to one the other day, though, and have scored 11 goals in four games. That ability to score at will, combined with the absence of Taremi, makes Japan firm favourites for this one.
