THE PREDICTION
Los Blancos defeated their Clasico rivals Barcelona in the semi-final of the Supercopa the other day with an extra-time goal via Fede Valverde giving Real Madrid a 3-2 victory. Madrid were arguably the weaker side of the two in that match but the experience and know-how of La Liga’s league leaders got them the victory. Athletic came from a goal down to score two goals in the final 15 minutes and win the game 2-1. The Basque team have been solid under Marcelino but they have been very good in cup competitions. Whilst they could easily cause a shock here, it is expected that Real Madrid win the match and get their first trophy of the season - the first of many, they will hope.
