THE PREDICTION

Liverpool host Leicester in this quarter-final having played a second-string line-up throughout the competition so far. However, the strength-in-depth of Jurgen Klopp’s Reds have seen them through with the likes of Joe Gomez, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino all playing big roles, although Origi is doubtful for the match due to injury. Leicester overcame Brighton via a penalty shootout last time out to reach the quarter-final. However, the Foxes have been ravaged by positive Covid-19 tests which will make their task here even harder. Either way, an entertaining affair is expected with Liverpool likely to enforce an ultra-attacking style of play, which may reap its rewards in front of goal, but could also leave them vulnerable on the counter attack. With that in mind, consider backing over 2.5 goals here regardless of which side advances to the semi-finals.
