THE PREDICTION
England were rusty to say the least against Iceland as they struggled to break their defensive opponents down. They have not been helped by the ensuing controversy around youngsters Foden and Greenwood breaking COVID protocol and being sent home so Gareth Southgate will have to get his players refocused on the task in hand. They face a Denmark side that were beaten at home by Belgium at the weekend but they had previously been in excellent form prior to the pandemic. They will at least come out and play positively which may benefit England find more gaps than they did against Iceland but this will be far from easy for Southgate’s men. Neither side look that strong defensively and with Denmark needing to get a positive result, expect an open game with goals at both ends.
