Djurgarden and Hammarby will play-off for a place in the final of the Svenska Cupen in this rearranged fixture with their opponents Hacken already through and waiting. Djurgarden have certainly had the easier of the two routes to this stage of the cup with four straight victories, the last two against Allsvenskan opponents Kalmar and Ostersunds FK on an aggregate score of 7-1, whilst Hammarby have played out back-to-back 3-2 wins and via extra time in their quarter-final with Trelleborg. The two sides from Stockholm have a storied history against each other, with Hammarby taking the recent spoils in three wins and a draw from their last five meetings over all competitions, though Djurgarden won the last cup fixture on penalties back in 2019. Last season’s Allsvenskan table would suggest that the hosts are the favourite here after they finished fourth and their record in the cup this season suggests they could edge this knock-out match.
