Flavio Cobolli vs Arthur Fils prediction

After toiling for the first part of the season, Flavio Cobolli is now enjoying a fine run of form. The newly-crowned Bucharest Open champion booked a place in the second round of the event with a comfortable 6-4 6-2 win over Dusan Lajovic. The Italian, fresh off his first ATP Tour title, is on a five-match winning streak and will be full of confidence ahead of his match against Arthur Fils.

Fils came from behind to defeat Tallon Griekspoor 6-7 6-4 6-2. Despite losing the first set, the French number one did not lose his serve during the entire match and still garnered a number of chances against his opponent, creating 16 break point opportunities but only taking three of them. Nevertheless, it was a strong performance from the Frenchman as he aims for a deep run in his first clay court event of the year.

These two have only played each other once, at the Next Gen Finals in 2023, with Fils winning comfortably in straight sets. Despite Cobolli’s recent upsurge in form, Fils is performing at a high level and we think he has enough to get through.
