FIORENTINA PREVIEW: FLUENT FIORENTINA
As mentioned, Fiorentina suffered a defeat in midweek with a heavily rotated I Viola side suffering a 2-1 defeat to APOEL Nicosia in the Cypriot capital in their third match of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa Conference League league phase.
The hosts, after a slow start since the appointment of Raffaele Palladino, have been in generally excellent form, though. Their 1-0 defeat of Torino in Turin last weekend means they have collected 19 points from their last seven matches in Serie A.
HELLAS VERONA PREVIEW: STRUGGLING VERONA
Hellas Verona lost their managerial miracle worker Marco Baroni over the summer and replaced him with former Empoli boss Paolo Zanetti. After an impressive start to the season, the visitors have since struggled and are now languishing.
Verona come into this one on the back of ending a three-match losing streak, though. They defeated a struggling Roma side by three goals to two at the Bentegodi last weekend with a late winner from Abdou Harroui.
FIORENTINA TEAM NEWS: NO GUDMUNDSSON
Iceland international Albert Gudmundsson is out with a hamstring injury for this weekend, whilst youngster Daniel Cataldi is also sidelined for I Viola.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Dodo, Comuzzo, Ranieri, Gosens; Richardson, Bove; Colpani, Beltran, Sottil; Kean

FIORENTINA VS HELLAS VERONA PREDICTION
Fiorentina have been relentless. They will not be overly concerned by their defeat to APOEL Nicosia in midweek given it was a rotated side and they picked up victories in their first two UEFA Europa Conference League matches. Hellas Verona will be buoyed as they head to the Artemio Franchi but they remain a poor side that are perhaps flattered by being in mid-table. Fiorentina, especially with their home advantage, should come out on top in this one.
