Feyenoord fought back to earn a special point at Manchester City a couple of weeks ago and they now face Brian Priske’s former side Sparta Prague at De Kuip this week.

How to watch on TV: UK – TNT Sports / US – Not televised

Feyenoord Preview: Poignant for Priske

Over the summer, with Arne Slot departing De Kuip for Liverpool, Feyenoord took the decision to appoint Brian Priske after he had recently led Sparta Prague to the Czech title for just the first time in nine years in 2023 and then again in the 2023/24 campaign.

Things have been steady at the start of this season and there is a belief that something is stirring and building in Rotterdam. Their last UEFA Champions League outing saw them come from three goals down late on to earn a point against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Sparta Prague Preview: Struggles for Sparta

Priske himself was replaced by former Aalborg coach Lars Friis, who hadn’t been a head coach in nearly two years before arriving in the Czech capital. Things have declined for Sparta as they sit third in the Czech First League, sitting 16 points behind league leaders Slavia Prague.

In the UEFA Champions League, they most recently suffered a 6-0 annihilation at the hands of Atletico Madrid in Prague a couple of weeks ago. The visitors have collected just four points from their opening five matches but do still stand a chance of a top 24 finish.

Feyenoord vs Sparta Prague Prediction

Feyenoord come into this one on the back of an entertaining 3-2 win away at RKC Waalwijk in their most recent outing, at the weekend. Six of their last seven matches have featured both teams scoring and they have been quite entertaining to watch. They now face a Sparta side that have regressed this season as a direct result of their opposition poaching their boss. That may provide added motivation for this week but Feyenoord are firm favourites for a potentially fun watch.

Feyenoord vs Sparta Prague Tip: Feyenoord to win & both teams to score
