Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Daniel Altmaier prediction
Felix Auger-Aliassime has already won two events this season, in Adelaide and at the Open Occitanie, while he also went close to a third at the beginning of March in Dubai but fell to a final loss against Stefanos Tsitsipas.
His more recent form has been less sparkling, with a surprise second-round loss to Justin Brooksby followed up by a third-round defeat to Lorenzo Musetti despite taking the first set. The Canadian is much improved from the struggles he endured in 2023 and will search for a deep run at his first clay court event of the year.
He takes on Daniel Altmaier, who is currently ranked 83 in the world. The German is currently on a three-match losing streak, with his best result of the year coming in early February at the Rotterdam Open, where he beat Arthur Fils but then lost to Alex de Minaur in the quarter-finals.
Altmaier does actually lead the head-to-head 1-0 after a win in early 2024, but we can see nothing other than a comfortable win for Auger-Aliassime.
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Daniel Altmaier tip: Felix Auger-Aliassime to win 2-0
