Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Andrey Rublev Prediction

Felix Auger-Aliassime has been in great form so far in 2025 but he has had a somewhat fortuitous route to the semi-finals in Doha. After Hamad Medjedovic withdrew from their round of 16 match, Daniil Medvedev retired due to illness in their quarter-final after Auger-Aliassime won the first set in their tie.

There will be no complaints from the Canadian and he will be fresh and raring to go here as he meets Andrey Rublev for a place in the final.

Rublev has improved with every match in Doha and he will have been delighted with his three-set win over Alex de Minaur on Thursday. He edged a final set tiebreak 10-8 to win 6-1 3-6 7-6 and he now meets a familiar for in Auger-Aliassime.

The pair have met six times before and Rublev has won five of those meetings, including the two they played in 2024. That does not quite tell the whole story however as all of the matches were extremely close-fought and five of them went to a deciding set.

We could fully see that happening here also. That could well favour Auger-Aliassime who should be the fresher of the two players and we marginally favour him with that in mind, but we like game betting here and expect some long sets.
