FPL Gameweek 9 – head-to-head comparisons: Alisson vs Ederson

These two Brazilian goalkeepers faced off in Gameweek 8 with little to separate the two, as Man City and Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium. So far this season, both Alisson (£5.9m) and Ederson (£6.0m) will be unhappy at their records with the two only keeping three clean sheets between them. With injuries taking hold at Liverpool and Man City's defence as dodgy as ever, that doesn't look like changing anytime soon.

Liverpool host Leicester in Gameweek 9, whilst Man City travel to Spurs. Both opponents pose very tough tests for each of these keepers and a clean sheet really looks unlikely for either. For the fact that Alisson is priced marginally cheaper, we're giving him the nod, but realistically neither would be the first choice keepers we'd be looking to pick in our side for Gameweek 9.
