It was written in the stars for Man City defender Kyle Walker (£6.0m) to score in Gameweek 7. On his 100th appearance for City, Walker returned to his boyhood club Sheffield Utd to net the only goal and pick up 15 FPL points in the process. He wasn't the only defender to score in Gameweek 7, as Chelsea's Kurt Zouma (£5.2m) found the net in their comfortable 0-3 win over Burnley, giving him 14 FPL points. Zouma has now accrued two goals and three clean sheets in his last four gameweeks, picking up 37 FPL points along the way.
Man City face a huge clash with reigning Premier League champions Liverpool in Gameweek 8, whilst Chelsea take their turn to play Sheffield Utd. A home game against the Blades holds far more clean sheet potential than a visit from Jurgen Klopp's Reds and when you also take into account Zouma's cheaper price tag, then it makes the selection of the Chelsea centre-back over Walker a no brainer.
Verdict: Kurt Zouma
