FPL Gameweek 6 – head-to-head comparisons: Andy Robertson vs Ben Chilwell
Despite both these defenders conceding goals, their attacking exploits saw them provide FPL returns for their owners. Andy Robertson (£7.0m) gained an assist and two bonus points to give him six FPL points overall in Gameweek 5 as Liverpool drew 2-2 away at Everton. Ben Chilwell (£5.7m) gained an assist himself for Chelsea, however a yellow card and a 3-3 draw at home to Southampton saw him restricted to only three FPL points.
Gameweek 6 sees Robertson's Liverpool host Sheffield Utd, whilst Chilwell's Chelsea travel to Man Utd. The chances of each player recording a clean sheet look slim, although Robertson's fixture especially appears enticing on paper. Liverpool's injury problems with Alisson and Virgil van Dijk both out gives Sheffield Utd a real opportunity to at least find the net. However, Robertson's threat at the opposite end of the pitch is so vast that we're giving him the nod here over Chilwell despite his much higher price. We see his attacking potential as worth the cost.
