FPL Gameweek 18 – head-to-head comparisons: Heung-Min Son vs Dele Alli

Both Heung-Min Son (£10.1m) and Dele Alli (£8.7m) were outshone by fellow midfielder Lucas Moura in Gameweek 17. Whilst both Son and Alli blanked, Moura scored the opening goal away at Wolves. That doesn’t change the fact that the other two have looked incredibly impressive going forward under new manager Jose Mourinho. Son has two goals and four assists in his last five league games, picking up 39 FPL points along the way. Alli has also starred, scoring three times with three assists in the same period, bringing home 40 FPL points.

Spurs host Chelsea in Gameweek 18 who are yet to keep a clean sheet away from home in the Premier League this season. Both midfielders seem just as likely to provide attacking returns, which leads us to pick the cheaper option of Alli.
