FPL Gameweek 17 – head-to-head comparisons: Bruno Fernandes vs Marcus Rashford
These two Man Utd players have proven incredibly profitable from an FPL perspective with Marcus Rashford (£9.5m) having joined Bruno Fernandes (£11.2m) in picking up regular attacking returns after an initial slow start to the campaign. Fernandes set up the winner for Rashford in Gameweek 16, his fourth goal in four Premier League games. Rashford has now accrued 30 FPL points in his last four gameweeks.
Fernandes though, has proven himself as one of the best FPL assets of the season and one of the true 'must own players' from an FPL perspective. The Portuguese midfielder has ten goals and eight assists to his name already, including 35 FPL points in his last three gameweeks. Man Utd host Aston Villa in Gameweek 17 and despite Rashford's recent scoring form, Fernandes' consistency along with his control over penalties means that we simply can't afford not to pick him here, despite his significantly higher price.
