FPL Gameweek 12 – head-to-head comparisons: Leandro Trossard vs John McGinn
Two players priced at £5.8m, Leandro Trossard (£5.8m) and John McGinn (£5.8m) are interesting options when it comes to low to mid range options. After starting three of the opening four gameweeks of the season, injury meant Trossard failed to see any action for the next five gameweeks. Finally on his way back to full fitness, his two cameos from the bench have seen the Brighton midfielder score once and provide two assists in a handy reminder to FPL managers of what the Belgian international is capable of. The only concern over selecting Trossard would be minutes on the pitch, as Potter appears to be using him as an impact sub while slowly filtering him into the team.
For McGinn, an excellent start to the season has slowed down somewhat. Still, as it stands only Tammy Abraham, Mo Salah and Teemu Pukki have had more shots on target than the Aston Villa midfielder and a Midlands derby against Wolves in GW12 offers McGinn an excellent chance of getting back amongst the goals.
Verdict: John McGinn
