FPL Gameweek 12 – head-to-head comparisons: James Maddison vs Daniel James
An assist and three bonus points for James Maddison (£7.4m) in Gameweek 11 ensured the Leicester playmaker's purple patch continued as he racked up 9 FPL points to go with the 8 points he returned in Gameweek 8. Maddison now has 36 FPL points in his last five Premier League starts for the Foxes and he'll be looking to carry that on in Gameweek 12 at home to Arsenal.
There was however no big return for Man Utd winger Daniel James (£6.2m) as the Welshman blanked away at Bournemouth, albeit in testing conditions on the South Coast. He'll be hoping for better this weekend back on home soil, with Brighton the visitors to Old Trafford.
Maddison may be far more expensive than James, but his point-returns have been far more consistent. James has now failed to score since Gameweek 4 and this has proven a frustration for his owners. Maddison plays for a team scoring goals for fun and having scored 12 goals in their last four games at the King Power Stadium, he has to be preferred here.
Verdict: James Maddison
