FPL Gameweek 12 – head-to-head comparisons: Aaron Connolly vs Lys Mousset

As we enter Gameweek 12 of the FPL season, there finally appears to be two excellent budget forward options for FPL managers to choose between. Both Aaron Connolly (£4.7m) and Lys Mousset (£4.9m) have burst onto the scene in recent weeks and appear to have secured their place in the starting XI for their respective teams.

Of the two, it is Mousset who is the in-form striker, with the Sheffield Utd man scoring twice and assisting three times in the last three gameweeks. In fact, his trio of assists against Burnley in GW11 put Mousset into the record books as he became the first Frenchman in Premier League history to record a hat-trick of first half assists. Up next for Sheffield Utd is a trip to Spurs who have conceded in four of their five home league matches this season

Connolly meanwhile is set to face Man Utd, who despite appearances have actually been fairly solid at the back this season and currently own the lowest xG conceded in the league.
