FPL – head-to-head comparisons: Sergio Aguero vs Harry Kane

Arguably the top two forwards in the Premier League, Sergio Aguero (£12.0m) and Harry Kane (£11.0m) are separated by £1.0m in the price standings. Last season, Aguero outscored Kane by 21 to 17 and averaged 6.09 points per app to Kane’s 5.71. However, Spurs do have more attractive opening fixtures to Manchester City with Mauricio Pochettino's men set to host both Aston Villa and Newcastle. If Kane can return to his form from previous seasons then he is the option to select, but based on last season, Aguero seems the safer bet.
