FPL Double Gameweek 26 – head-to-head comparisons: Andy Robertson vs Trent Alexander-Arnold
Having played their Champions League fixtures the week previous, both Andy Robertson (£7.2m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.4m) should be well-rested and aiming alongside the rest of an ailing Liverpool outfit to take maximum points from thus Double Gameweek 26. The Reds have lost four games in a row in the Premier League and four in a row at home during their darkest period under Jurgen Klopp but an away trip at Sheffield United is likely to offer them at least some respite against the rock-bottom strugglers. A home match with Chelsea next Thursday could be one of few chances for both sides against this new-look defensive solidity under Thomas Tuchel but that could see Robertson and Alexander-Arnold tally up some decent scores this double gameweek.
There is little to choose between the two Liverpool wing-backs so Robertson gets the nod here with a better 2020/21 record. The Scot has two more assists and two more clean sheets than Alexander-Arnold and has been one of the better players in an underperforming team this season.
Verdict: Andy Robertson
