Ciro Immobile (€10.0m) may just be one of the most under-rated forwards heading to this years Championship. Priced at €10.0m and owned by 10% of managers, the Italian forward has a good-looking fixture on matchday 1 against Turkey. Since an excellent qualifying campaign where they conceded just three goals, Turkey have kept just two clean sheets in 11 international matches during which time 19 goals have been let in. Defensively they seem to be hitting a rough patch at just the wrong time and if Italy are to take advantage then Immobile will be at the front of the queue. With five goals and three assists in his last ten starts for his country, Immobile has the form and ability to be an excellent differential forward on Matchday 1.
When it comes to Karim Benzema (€10.0m) it’s difficult to know exactly where to begin. Recalled to the squad following a six-year exile there is no doubting the Frenchman’s proficiency in front of goal. His last appearance for Les Bleus came on the 15thOctober 2015 in a 4-0 victory against Armenia, during which time he scored two and set up one. From that season until now, Benzema has scored 146 goals in 278 games for Real Madrid, capped off by yet another 30-goal campaign this year. The big question surrounding Benzema is will he start. With Kylian Mbappe (€12.0m) and Antoine Greizmann (€11.0m) looking set to occupy two of France’s three attacking spots, it would appear to be between Benzema and Olivier Giroud (€8.0m). Given the surprise inclusion it would seem unlikely for Deschamps to take Benzema to not play him, however Giroud has always been a favourite of the Frenchman. In a tough match against Germany the smart play may be to wait and see as opposed to taking the €10.0m gamble.
