Hungarian Fabian Marozsan has had a reasonable start to 2025 but he has come up against some quality players that have eliminated in various tournaments.

He comes into Dubai having reached the round of 16 in Doha, but he came up against an inspired Jiri Lehecka there. 

In Dubai, he will face Spanish veteran Roberto Bautista Agut who has had a torrid start to the year and one wonders if age is finally beginning to catch up with the 36-year-old.

Bautista Agut has entered four tournaments prior to this one in 2025 and has been eliminated in the first match in each of those. He is going to have to step up a level even against the likes of Marozsan to progress here.

We have to lean towards the Hungarian in this one. Bautista Agut is struggling to get going so far this year and it is hard to like him right now.
