Everton Preview: Sticky Toffees

Sean Dyche’s Everton have managed just three wins in their 17 matches so far this season but they headed into a potentially disastrous December in a poor position and a 4-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford only worsened their woes.

However, amidst a takeover of the club by the Friedkin Group finally being confirmed, the Toffees, who had their Merseyside Derby against Liverpool postponed, have shared three successive draws against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Nottingham Forest Preview: Challenging for Europe

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno Espirito Santo has his Nottingham Forest side tucked firmly inside the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots after an impressive recent run of form.

Since losing 3-0 to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier this month, Forest have now enjoyed four successive victories. They come into this one on the back of a 1-0 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur at the City Ground thanks to a 28th minute strike scored by Anthony Elanga.

Everton vs Nottingham Forest Prediction

Everton are not a team that thrive in a situation whereby the onus is on them to take the game to the opposition. That has therefore helped them even more to frustrate sides such as Arsenal, Chelsea and City of late because it suits them more. This game, though, will see Forest likely set up to play on the counter-attack with weapons such as Morgan Gibbs-White, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga. A double chance bet against the improved Evertonians would appear a good value shout for this clash at Goodison.
