Ethan Quinn vs Marcos Giron Prediction

Ethan Quinn took advantage of a lucky loser spot to get a win in the first round against compatriot Tristan Boyer. Quinn was knocked out in qualifying on Sunday by Zachary Zvajda but was handed the reprieve and took full advantage.

He now meets veteran Marcos Giron and he will know he will have to raise his performance a level or two if he is to have any chance against the 31-year-old American.

This is Giron’s first match for weeks since the Australian Open as he withdrew from the Dallas Open just five minutes before his match with Casper Ruud was due to start as he was struggling with a neck problem.

His first-round match with Gabriel Diallo was cancelled with his opponent withdrawing so this is his first match in almost a month.

There could well be a lack of sharpness that could well lead to a slow start but one would fully expect Giron to still have too much quality for Quinn ultimately. Do not rule out this one going three sets however.
