Emma Navarro vs Donna Vekic Prediction

Tenth seed Emma Navarro recovered from losing the first set against Sorana Cirstea by increasing her level and winning the next two to book her place in the third round.

The recently-crowned Merida Open champion was a quarter-finalist at Indian Wells last year and is enjoying a fine start to 2025 having also made the last eight at the Australian Open in January.

Donna Vekic, meanwhile, ended a four-game losing streak by seeing off Elina Avanesyan over the weekend to reach the third round at this event for the first time in her career, on her tenth participation.

Recent form points towards Navarro here, in what will be just the second meeting between the pair after Vekic won a March 2023 contest in Mexico. Navarro is fresh from a recent tournament win and is playing with greater confidence than her Croatian opponent.
