Elina Svitolina vs Olga Danilovic prediction
Elina Svitolina continued her serene run in Rouen with a thumping victory over Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the semi-finals. The Ukrainian didn’t even face a break point as she stormed to a 6-0 6-2 win. She hasn’t dropped a set in any of her four matches and hasn’t even been taken to more than 10 service games in any of the sets she’s played so far.
Olga Danilovic will be her opponent in the final as she beat Suzan Lamens 6-4 6-4. She reaches her fourth WTA final and is now on a nine-match unbeaten streak. She will be the toughest opponent Svitolina has faced in the tournament.
The Serbian will become a top 30 player for the first time in her career if she manages to win against Svitolina. However, the Ukrainian has simply been in a class of her own all tournament in terms of dominating her opponents and we can’t see that changing here, despite Danilovic’s admittedly impressive unbeaten run.
We think Svitolina is good value for yet another straight sets victory and her first title since Strasbourg in May 2023.
Elina Svitolina vs Olga Danilovic tip: Elina Svitolina to win 2-0
