Elina Svitolina vs Jessica Bouzas Maneiro prediction

Elina Svitolina easily got past compatriot Anhelina Kalinina to make it 4-0 in the head-to-head and book a place in the quarter-finals in Rouen. The number one seed took control of the match from the beginning and raced clear in the second as she searches for her first tournament win of the season. Her serve was also strong, as she slammed down four aces and committed no double faults.

She now faces Jessica Bouzas Maneiro who enjoyed a comfortable win of her own after defeating Varvara Gracheva 6-3 6-3. These two have only played each other once before, in August last year at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati. 

The Ukrainian eased to a 6-4 6-1 win that day and will be the clear favourite here to make the semi-finals. Svitolina has coasted through her first two matches without having to be at her best, and we think she’s good value to win in straight sets again and make it through.
