Elena Rybakina vs Sofia Kenin Prediction

Elena Rybakina came through a monumental battle against Paula Badosa in the round of 16 on Wednesday as she fought back from a set down to win 4-6 7-6 7-6. In a match that could easily have gone either way, Rybakina will take good confidence from a high-quality match like that and will aim to carry it into the rest of the tournament.

She now meets Sofia Kenin for the first time on the WTA Tour. The 26-year-old American has had a tough route to the quarters but has come through impressively. She overcame 16th-seed Donna Vekic in the first round 7-5 6-3 to get through a really tough opener. Then she beat the competitive Marta Kostyuk in a three-set battle 5-7 7-6 7-6 before stunning fourth-seed Jasmine Paolini 6-4 6-0 on Wednesday.

Both players should rightly be confident coming into this one but it is Rybakina who is favoured. She will look to control this and assuming her serve is reasonable, we fancy her chances of getting through.
