Ekaterina Alexandrova produced a fine performance to defeat the dangerous Olga Danilovic in straight sets and make it through to the next stage. Alexandrova was 4-0 down in the second set but roared back to win six straight service games and seal her place in the third-round. She has now won seven matches out of nine on clay this season.

Her opponent is Daria Kasatkina after she beat Alycia Parks 6-2 7-5. The Australian made things more difficult for herself in the second set, while she only converted half of her break point opportunities, but she always remained in control.

They’ve played each other five times before but never on clay, with Kasatkina leading the head-to-head 3-2. Kasatkina also won their last encounter which took place in Cincinnati last year, defeating Alexandrova 6-4 6-2.

This could be a very tight match, but Alexandrova has been in really good form over the last couple of weeks and we think she will win in three sets.
