Eintracht Frankfurt Preview: Frankfurt’s focus
Eintracht Frankfurt come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final tie in midweek, taking the lead via Hugo Ekitike before Pedro Porro equalised 20 minutes later.
They have enjoyed a very impressive campaign throughout this season as they remain tucked inside the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures, albeit have regressed slightly since the departure of Omar Marmoush in January.
Heidenheim Preview: Struggling Heidenheim
Heidenheim have been one of the most remarkable stories in European football in the last few years and in their first ever season in the Bundesliga last season, they reached the UEFA Europa Conference League for this year but the visitors have since majorly declined this time around.
The visitors head into the 29th match day of the 2024/25 Bundesliga campaign sitting third-from-bottom and in the relegation playoff place, four points adrift of safety. After back-to-back victories they most recently suffered a 1-0 loss at home to Bayer Leverkusen last week.
Eintracht Frankfurt Team News: Trapp out
First-choice goalkeeper Kevin Trapp remains sidelined for this weekend due to a leg injury and has been replaced quite well by back-up Kaua Santos. They have a couple of doubts, too, such as Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe and Ansgar Knauff.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Santos; Collins, Koch, Theate, Brown; Tuta, Skhiri; Gotze, Larsson, Bahoya; Ekitike
Unavailable: Trapp (Injured), Wenig (Injured), Loune (Injured)
Questionable: Dina Ebimbe (Injured), Knauff (Injured)
Heidenheim Team News: Couple of injuries
Ahead of their trip to Frankfurt this weekend, Heidenheim are dealing with a couple of injury concerns for this one in attacking areas of the pitch such as the confirmed absences of Martin Honsak and Budu Zivzivadze.
Predicted XI (3-4-3): Muller; Mainka, Gimber, Siersleben; Traore, Busch, Schoppner, Kratzig; Dorsch, Pieringer, Beck
Unavailable: Honsak (Injured), Zivzivadze (Injured)

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Heidenheim Prediction
Eintracht Frankfurt have enjoyed a very impressive campaign, as mentioned, and they have done so in entertaining fashion, too. The hosts have played a front foot and aggressive style of football that does see them as the third top scorers in the Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich and the aforementioned Leverkusen. Heidenheim have regressed this season but have shown signs of improvement, both in terms of their level of performances as well as their results so, as Frankfurt take their eye off the ball to focus on Europe and deal with a decline in their own standards, it could well be a good value bet to side with the visitors for this one.
