Egypt have returned to some excellent form during their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign thus far as they now prepare to welcome Sierra Leone to Cairo this week.

Under the management of Hossem Hassan, with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush in attack, Egypt have opened up a five-point gap at the top of Group A with five games to go. They most recently eased past Ethiopia by two goals to nil the other day thanks to goals from the aforementioned Salah as well as Zizo.

They now face a Sierra Leone side that do have some pedigree within their squad and they are one of two sides, alongside Burkina Faso, who sit five points behind the Egyptians. The visitors most recently comfortably and impressively defeated Guinea-Bissau by three goals to one the other day.

However, despite that impressive performance and result, Egypt are expected to win this one relatively comfortably, especially with their home advantage at the Cairo International Stadium.
