Edmen Shahbazyan: KO specialist looking to get back to winning ways
Edmen Shahbazyan (13-5) has had a whole raft of high-profile fights in the UFC but he is needing to get a win under his belt after five losses in his last seven. His style is so fan-friendly given his outstanding knockout power but he has been found wanting when coming up against some of the top echelon in the middleweight division. He comes off a submission loss at the hands of Gerald Meerschaert in August and he will be hoping that Budka is prepared to stand and trade with him here.
Dylan Budka: Mindless Hulk looking for first UFC win at third attempt
Dylan Budka (7-4) is hoping to make it third time lucky as after coming through Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2023, he has lost his two fights in the UFC. He suffered a TKO-loss at the hands of Cesar Almeida on his debut and then saw a unanimous decision go against him last time out against Andre Petroski at UFC Fight Night 242 in September. He needs a win to stay relevant but this is a tough assignment for him.
Edmen Shahbazyan vs Dylan Budka Prediction
This will be one of the best fights to watch on the card at UFC Fight Night 251 and do not blink in this one.
We are predicting fireworks here and it feels like it is one of those that has been made to ensure there is a really good, fan-friendly fight on the main card.
We really like the chances of Edmen Shahbazyan in this one. He has been fighting at a high level for quite some time and even if results have not gone his way at times, he brings it every fight and will look to take Budka’s head off right from the start.
Budka has yet to win in the UFC and it really would take some reversal of fortunes if he could somehow pull off the win here. We do not see it however and our play is on Shahbazyan to get the knockout win.
Prediction: Edmen Shahbazyan to win by KO/TKO
