Dustin Jacoby: Ex-TUF and Contender under pressure to halt slide

Dustin Jacoby (19-9-1) is in a tough run right now having lost four of his last five fights. The first three of losses came via decision but he suffered a knockout loss at the hands of Dominick Reyes in June and it will be interesting to see how he bounces back from that. His confidence cannot be particularly good heading into this one but he must know his UFC future is on the line if he suffers another loss here.

Vitor Petrino: Brazilian coming off first MMA loss

Vitor Petrino (11-1) was riding an 11-fight win streak to launch his MMA career in style but he suffered his first loss last time out as Anthony Smith submitted him at UFC 301. That loss in his native Brazil will likely have given him a wake-up call but he should not be disheartened and will aim to get back on track here against Jacoby.

Dustin Jacoby vs Vitor Petrino Prediction

Both fighters come into this fight with a degree of desperation as neither can really afford to lose this fight in the UFC’s light heavyweight division.

Jacoby has lost four of five and his future in the organisation would surely be under threat with another loss here.

Petrino lost to Anthony Smith last time out of which there is no shame. However, a loss really would set him back in his hopes to rise up the division.

We think this could be quite a one-sided affair. While Jacoby has been fighting at a high level for some time, recent results are pretty alarming and one has to fear for his chances here. Petrino can get back to winning ways and we expect him to do just that.

Prediction: Vitor Petrino to win
